Spanish Silver Two Reale Dated 1797

A Spanish two reale silver coin that was minted from new world silver. This 223 year old relic was minted when Spain was under the rule of Carolus IIII . It features a bold Spanish coat of arms on one side with the denomination of 2R (reales). The other side features the profile of Carolus III with the date of 1797. There were no wallets during this time, so it was quite common to punch a hole in the coin and wear it on a leather cord around your neck. This pendant can be worn with either side showing.
