This pendant features a silver antoninianus minted around 240 A.D. during the reign of Gordian III. It features a seated Roma, the female deity who personified the city of Rome and more broadly, the Roman state itself. This particular image is quite interesting in that it shows a seated Roma holding Victory in her right hand. It is unusual to have two personifications on the same coin. The reverse, whose image is inverted to the front, features Gordian III who ruled between 238-244 A.D.

Set in a frame of 14kt yellow gold, your gift boxed pendant pendant comes with your choice of necklace.

Your coin comes complete with a Certificate of Authenticity and descriptive brochure.
