In Roman mythology Amulius left her newborn twins to die on the bank of the Tiber Riber, but they were saved when a she-wolf found and raised them. The twins, Romulus and Remus, became shepherds and later founded the city of Rome. The she-wolf suckling the twins is one of the most iconic images of Roman history, appearing throughout the country on numerous statues.

This bronze follis was minted during the reign of Urbs Roma around 335 A.D. His profile is on the reverse side. The coin is in a sterling silver pendant about 7/8" in diameter. Pendant comes on your choice of necklace along with a descriptive brochure and Certificate of Authenticity.
