First discovered by a farmer plowing a field in 1810 in Belarius, a landlocked country in eastern Europe. Named the Brahin, it is one of 42 meteorites recovered that are classified as a pallasite. Less than one percent of all meteorites found are pallasites. Fission age tracking places the age of the Brahin at around 4 billion years old. This is one of our nicer pallasites with a weight of 16.87 carats. This translucent slice exhibits beautiful olivine crystals in a very stable nickel-iron matrix with approximately 50% of the surface covered in crystals. We have set it in a handcrafted sterling silver frame. Your gift boxed pendant will arrive with a descriptive card about your out of this world gift on your choice of necklace.
