Gordian III, "the boy king", Silver Denarius, 240 A.D.
This coin features an excellent image of Gordian III. The grandson of Gordian I, he was named Caesar at the age of 13. He ruled with competent help and his reign was far more stable than most child rulers. Later coins, when he was around 18, show him with sideburns. Our swirled design border is a perfect compliment to this 1900 year old treasure.
Complete with descriptive brochure, certificate of authenticity, and black fashion cord necklace.
