This beautiful coin is a silver drachm dating back to 190 A.D. The coin was minted under the rule of Osroes II, a leader of the kingdom of Parthia. Parthia was an Iranian civilization that existed from 247 B.C. to 220 A.D. Little is known about the Parthians, but they built an Eastern superpower that occupied much of the Middle East and southwest Asia. They were a kingdom of horse-warriors that defeated Alexander the Great's successors, the Seleucids.

This coin measures 3/4 inch in diameter and is set in a 14kt gold border. Comes complete with a custom six strand wire collar.
