Description

In July of 1715 a fleet of 12 ships left from Havana, Cuba headed to Spain and loaded with treasure. Seven days later, near Vero Beach, Florida the entire fleet disappeared in a hurricane with a loss of over a thousand lives. Miraculously many of their shipmates managed to reach shore, floating on the wreckage of the ships.

In 1963 famous treasurer hunter Mel Fisher began bringing to the surface what was still left in the seas of the treasure of silver and gold cob coins. Even as recently as a few years ago treasure is still being brought up from this famous shipwreck site.

Our silver two reale cob coin from the 1715 fleet has a nice Spanish cross on the front and traces of the Spanish crest on the reverse. Set in a handcrafted frame of sterling silver, your pendant will arrive on a sterling silver necklace in the length of your choice. Your pendant will arrive with a Certificate of Authenticity and descriptive brochure about one of the most famous shipwrecks in history.
