Silver denarius of Naevius Balbus issued in 79 B.C. The coin has a superb detailed image of Victory driving a three horse chariot known as a "triga". Almost all chariots were pulled by two or four horses, the three horse chariot was very rare and is only seen on a few early coins.The reverse has the helmeted head of Venus.
