One of the world`s oldest forms of money is ghost face money from China. Dating from 400 B.C., this is a relic from the period when China was evolving from feudal states to a society with a central government. The development of money meant that trade would fluorish and replace thousands of years of barter.
Our coin has beautiful blue-green patina with a detailed face showing the eyes and mouth of the "ghost face". Set in a handcrafted 14kt gold border, it comes complete with a 16" black cord necklace. The pendant measures 1 inch tall.
